The International Society of Appraisers (ISA) wanted two separate ads: one targeting potential ISA members and one targeting consumers in need of appraisers. Naturally, the first thing I did was research. (This may have included watching many, many Antique Roadshow episodes.)

Paired with a designer, we developed concepts that ranged from silly to serious — each promoting ISA as the elite choice for appraisal needs.

Humorous and lighthearted, the consumer-facing ad brings life to beloved collectables with big personalities. In this case, the prized antique is a sassy elephant statuette who knows exactly what she’s worth and has a story worth telling.

The appraiser-facing ad takes on a more sophisticated direction with the appropriately titled theme, “Filling in the gaps.”


The idea for this concept was to reach like-minded individuals and ask, “Do you have what it takes to join the ISA?”
